I began tinkering with computers at age ten, learning BASIC programming in summer camps and finding contact with a universe of information through dial-up BBS systems like Over The Edge and Paradise Lost. My experience on the command line quickly transferred into the UNIX based environment at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.

My UNIX and PC skills led to employment at UWM as a UNIX Help Desk technician and then PC repair technician. I started a Web Development business. After graduation, I worked for ExecPC, as a consultant and network engineer before landing at AT&T where I  maintained critical network systems, developed processes and supervised technicians.
